Photography in Bologna

1. Bologna is a terrific city for street photography, blending historic architecture with vibrant daily life and stylish locals. The iconic porticoes, narrow streets, and bustling markets offer diverse and atmospheric backdrops for capturing candid moments.

Bologna is famous around the world for its cuisine. I sampled some excellent dishes as well as taking some photos when I was there.

Piazza Maggiore is the main square and historic heart of Bologna, Italy, renowned for its stunning medieval and Renaissance architecture. 

Immediately to the east of the Piazza Maggiore in Bologna is a small area of narrow streets and many shops, mainly butchers, fishmongers, greengrocers, wine merchants and the like.

The people, and the historical and artistic heritage makes this a great city for street photography.
